9.19-9.20.09

Saturday and sunday i spent the days up at Paradise doing training for this fall season... we learned new games and practiced facilitating... It was a lot of fun... i kept my ears open and learned a bunch of new things... all of them helped to make me grow big and strong as a facilitator and remind me that i still have lots of learning to continue to do... it made me remember always look for a different perspective on any given situation... keep your eyes open for a unique view of the world around you...

9.17-9.18.09

So, i've been learning that life goes fast... and you should always go big or go home... i worked part of the week at one of our other stores in the airport, not the main one that i work in, and i worked with only one other person... the morning went by so fast and then i was alone for a 3 very slow hours until the afternoon person came in... Life goes by fast when you have someone to share it with... and it's always better to go big, like when sam made my coffee with "a little" whip on top... hmm... can we say YUMMY!!!!

9.16.09

Well, after i paid an exuberant amount of money on my new tires and realized that you can't forget about the big stuff, i realized that "the big stuff makes the small stuff sweatier...and swirlier"... i had to totally revamp what i was doing in life because i forgot to plan on paying for my tires, and didn't realize how expensive they were... my life felt like a giant spiral for a while... hence the picture...

9.15.09

Don't sweat the small stuff, but don't ignore the big stuff for too long.

so, sometimes i forget to blog at the end of the day, because i have to go to bed and get up early to go to work... so here are a few pics, and the lil nuggets of knowledge that i forgot to blog...

and my roomate just walked in and said... "well, it doesn't matter what the worship music is as long as the walls are the right color".  just thought i'd share that!

9.14.09

Today is the first official day of my photo year... here's what i learned bright and early at 6:00 am on our way home from Colorado. We stopped in Twin Falls, ID to grab some breakfast, and i ordered a much needed cup of coffee... part way through enjoying my coffee i looked down to find....

A movie stub from something in my coffee... sad day.
so, what' did i learn...
...even on the best of days, to be prepared for anything and not to sweat the small stuff...
even on my birthday i didn't get everything right, and for it to be in my morning coffee... :( official bad day right there, but i didn't let it bother me... i just got a new cup, laughed it off, and moved on...

The 365 day journey.

Okay, so tomorrow i start on a new journey of photography and life... curious yet?

I turn 23 tomorrow and have decided that i never want to stop learning, because as soon as you stop learning, you stop truly living. So, I've challenged myself to find something new to learn everyday, and then to take a picture everyday that goes along with what i've learned. I actually started getting ready for this adventure a few days ago. My theory was that, as i've already said, you stop truly living once you stop learning, and there is too much in this world to stop truly living now. So, it was convenient that my birthday was a few days away and i was able to pick that day to start, so i wont forget when i started.
So, everyday there will be a new blog, with a new picture, and a new 'lil nugget of wisdom. there are 365 nuggets in a chicken, didn't ya know? so... since i kinda started already here is one extra... that's very fitting for this journey.

I spent the last few days in CO. spending time with one of my roommates families. Over the weekend i've learned one big lesson that this picture sums up perfectly..

Jump in with both feet and your boots on.

life comes at you fast and 90% of the time your not ready for what happens... this weekend i learned that you need to be ready and willing to jump right into whatever comes your way. 2 all nighters in less than a week, climbing on a cliff 600+ ft in the air, making memories with friends/family, getting awesome news via email that'll change your life. Whatever it is, be ready to jump right in with both feet and with your boots tied tight.
